Conservation Officer As the casual Conservation Officer, you will be responsible for leading practical conservation activities and may occasionally assist with promoting and coordinating volunteer engagement within the region. To succeed in this role, you should have demonstrated experience in the volunteer sector, particularly in field-based program delivery, with some experience in program administration being advantageous. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with effective time management and problem-solving abilities, are highly valued. A genuine interest in practical conservation activities, from on-site delivery to recruitment, is essential.This role primarily involves leading teams of volunteers in the field but may also include organizational and office administration duties, such as: Organizing conservation activities and volunteer events Providing support and guidance to volunteers Essential Qualifications&Experience Ability to inspire and motivate volunteers, encouraging their commitment to conservation efforts Effective communication skills across verbal, written, and public presentation formats Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer serviceFull Driver's License Defensive Driving Certificate obtained within the last five years Current Provide First Aid certificate or equivalent Occupational Health and Safety Level 3 certification Ministry of Justice Check or Working with Vulnerable People Check The above qualifications are required before leading teams.
