Test Engineer, Wellington

Job Title: Test Engineer As a Test Engineer in the Te Wheke team, you will be responsible for: Test planning, design, and execution for products, services, and projects. Collaborating with Test Managers, Technical Product Leads, and Business Managers to ensure effective acceptance testing.Validating APIs during our transition from Oracle SOA to Azure API Management (APIM), ensuring seamless integration and high API performance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience in API testing, preferably with Azure APIM and Oracle SOA.Proficiency with testing tools such as Postman, GitHub, and Azure DevOps. Strong understanding of API protocols (REST, SOAP) and authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Preferred Skills: Experience with automated and manual testing frameworks. Knowledge of various testing methods: regression, UAT, smoke, system, performance, functional, and unit testing. Understanding of cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure. Familiarity with automation in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Experience with CI/CD solutions like Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions. Strong troubleshooting skills. Proficiency in testing at data, systems, and UI levels. Experience with Postman and SoapUI tools. You will also have: At least 5 years' experience as a Tester, including test planning, scripting, and execution.Good written and verbal communication skills. Experience working within Agile frameworks. Some technical skills in test automation.
