As a Support Software Developer at Hexagon, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of mission-critical public safety systems that help protect lives across New Zealand. Working within a high-stakes industry where every second counts, your contributions will directly support frontline emergency services.You’ll bring advanced knowledge of software systems and strong analytical thinking to resolve technical issues, implement cost-effective solutions, and continuously improve the systems our customers rely on. Your exceptional time management skills will allow you to effectively prioritise and balancemultiple ongoing tasks, ensuring SLA commitments and project goals are consistently met—while remaining ready to respond swiftly and effectively to urgent incidents as they arise.• OBJECTIVES / MAIN ACTIVITIES Undertake design, development, integration, testing, support, and maintenance of Hexagon solutions. Provide technical guidance and assistance to other team members. Contribute to and lead initiatives supporting the Continuous Improvement process.Stay up-to-date with technology and industry trends in Software Development supported by Hexagon and customers. Participate in design reviews, stakeholder meetings, and agile process meetings. Support the preparation of Statements of Work (SoW) as required. Develop technical and design documentation utilizing version control.Provide technical support to business stakeholders. Assist with testing, deployment, and ongoing support. Develop a comprehensive understanding of Hexagon products, services, and markets. Collaborate to address problems/issues and integrate solutions to meet business objectives. Manage customer and stakeholder expectations effectively.SKILLS AND ABILITIES Strong technical skills in modern software development technologies. Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. Customer-focused mindset with experience supporting complex systems.
