About the role NZSIS has a statutory mandate to conduct security vetting in New Zealand on behalf of all government agencies. As a Vetting Analyst, you'll play a critical role in contributing to the security of New Zealand. Your day-to-day will involve conducting background investigations and assessing suitability for nominated government employees and contractors so they may hold a national security clearance.This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of national security in a fast-paced, challenging role that will stretch your analytical thinking. You will also need to be discreet and demonstrate the ability to make assessments in a non-judgemental manner. You will ideally have:Demonstrated experience in investigative or information gathering and analysis work. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to elicit information and discuss sensitive subjects in a discreet non-judgemental manner. Excellent oral and written communication style. An ability to make well informed and fair assessments.A high level of integrity and trustworthiness and a reputation for attention to detail. Excellent self-management skills with the ability to be flexible and prioritise in the face of a demanding workload.
