Job Description Sofitel Wellington is seeking a Full-time, permanent (40 hours per week) experienced Food&Beverage Attendant/Barista for our outlets, Jardin Grill and La Serre. Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and memorable dining experiences? Join our team as a Food and Beverage Attendant/Barista. You will be vital in providing outstanding service and ensuring guests enjoy a delightful dining experience.Responsibilities Manage outlet operations on a shift basis through effective team leadership. Be hands-on in delivering 5-star luxury service. Perform daily food and beverage service tasks. Open and close the restaurant or outlet. Assist with packing for events. Take orders, maximize sales through product knowledge and suggestive selling.Repeat orders to ensure accuracy. Write clear and correct dockets for the kitchen and cashier. Use the POS system correctly. Deliver orders promptly from the kitchen or bar. Check and deliver meals to maintain quality and presentation, announcing when served. Provide the highest standard of guest service.Keep tables and service areas clean and organized. Take responsibility for your section and station. Maintain cleanliness of side stations daily. Have knowledge of beverages and their preparation and service. Follow hygienic food service techniques during service. Qualifications Minimum 1 year experience in a luxury 5-star hotel.Experience in fine dining breakfast and dinner service. Experience in luxury banqueting service. Previous experience as a Barista. Café style service experience. Knowledge of gastronomy and beverages. Micros system experience is a plus. Strong presentation and organizational skills. Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment.Previous hotel or administrative experience. Positive, bubbly personality. Full working rights in NZ.
