Where making an impact matters. Supporting our Customer Retail portfolio, the core of this role is new event management. You will identify instances where customer, reputational, or compliance risk has been flagged and support leaders in managing these events end-to-end. This includes ensuring consideration of the three key pillars: remediate the customer, identify the root cause, and implement a process to prevent future occurrences.You'll drive risk awareness and training, helping teams understand risk events, controls, and best practices. Reporting is also a key aspect of this role; if you can translate data into meaningful insights and tell a compelling story with numbers, that’s a big plus. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, helping them navigate risk with confidence and embed strong risk practices across the business. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, supporting business units with risk assessments and playing a key role in managing risk through bank-wide changes.Ko tātou tēnei. We would love to hear from you if you have some of the following: Comparative frontline risk experience or a strong background in Customer Retail Products/Banking is essential.Experience in managing risk events and conducting root cause analysis to drive meaningful improvements. A solid understanding of governance principles and experience in developing risk frameworks, standards, and policies. Confidence in delivering workshops or training to a broad range of stakeholders.Analytical and logical thinking, with a naturally inquisitive mindset. Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills, enabling you to quickly build trust and advise business units on effective risk mitigation.
