This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the physical environment and sustainability credentials of one of Peterborough’s leading retail destinations.Purpose of the Role: The Projects&Environmental Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of all building fabric repairs, upgrades, and maintenance projects at Queensgate, while managing environmental records and promoting sustainable practices aligned with ISO50001, BREEAM, and GRESB standards. Key Responsibilities: Project&Technical Delivery Assist the Technical Services Manager in the implementation of all building fabric repairs and maintenance projects. Oversee the design, delivery, and implementation of projects including PPMP updates, shop fitting works, improvement projects, and emergency repairs. Collaborate with building surveyors, consultants, and client-appointed professionals to ensure value, quality, and best practice.Ensure specification accuracy, risk mitigation, and cost control on all projects. Establish and manage a clear project reporting schedule (costs, timelines, resources). Attend technical meetings and report on project status and planning. Support tenants, contractors, and service providers with technical queries.Maintain high site standards in line with statutory and site-specific requirements. Lead environmental performance management, ensuring compliance with ISO50001, BREEAM, and GRESB. Monitor, maintain, and submit environmental records and evidence for internal audits and certifications. Promote environmental sustainability across all projects, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, and resource management.Identify and implement environmental improvements in collaboration with stakeholders. Compliance&Quality Ensure compliance with all health&safety policies, COSHH, CDM, and other statutory regulations. Adhere to SMR operational standards and support quality assurance practices. Assist in audits and assessments related to environmental performance. People&Communication Liaise with internal teams, service partners, tenants, and consultants to support efficient project delivery. Ensure the work of contractors and consultants is effectively specified, procured, and monitored for quality and value. Foster environmental awareness among internal and external teams.Skills, Knowledge&Experience Required: Proven experience delivering building fabric projects and maintenance in a commercial or retail setting. Strong understanding of ISO50001, BREEAM, and GRESB frameworks. Ability to maintain accurate environmental documentation and prepare audit-ready records. Deep knowledge of statutory compliance, CDM regulations, risk management, and health&safety standards. Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Solid project management capability, including budget and timeline control. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and use of SharePoint for documentation and collaboration.
