Job Description Fixed term until December 2026 As a Test Engineer in the Te Wheke team, your responsibilities include test planning, design, and execution for various products, services, and projects. Collaboration with Test Managers, Technical Product Leads, and Business Managers is essential to ensure quality and confidence in the solutions provided. Your role involves validating APIs during ourmigration to Azure API Management, ensuring high performance and seamless integration.Ō Pūkenga/Skills And Experience Effective communication, attention to detail, rapid learning ability, and dedication to quality outcomes are key to this role. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Experience in API testing, especially with Azure APIM and Oracle SOAProficiency with testing tools such as Postman, GITHUB, and Azure DevOps Understanding of API protocols (REST, SOAP) and authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT) Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Skills Experience with automated and manual testing frameworks Knowledge of testing methods like regression, UAT, smoke, performance, functional, and unit testing Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud platform Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Experience configuring CI/CD solutions (Azure DevOps, GIT Hub Actions)Strong troubleshooting skills Testing at data, systems, and UI levels Experience with Postman and SoapUI tools You Will Also Have 5 years' experience in testing, including test plans, scripting, and execution Good communication skills Experience with Agile frameworks Some technical skills such as test automationMō mātou/About us At Te Tāhū o te Ture - the Ministry of Justice, we are committed to strengthening trust in the law of Aotearoa, New Zealand.
