The role involves delivering early intervention health and wellbeing guidance, support, and services within Kaupapa Māori Kura. The Mana Ake service collaborates with education sectors to provide support where wellbeing needs are initially identified in community settings.The clinical mental health and wellbeing workforce will deliver evidence-informed individual, group, and whole-class wellbeing programs for tamariki, along with broader wellbeing support to kura clusters. The Mental Health Clinician will be part of a culturally responsive team focused on whakawhānaungatanga and building strong relationships, walking alongside tamariki and whānau on their wellbeing journeys.The design and delivery of wellbeing support will prioritize tamariki and families/whānau input, ensuring ongoing engagement and responsiveness. The role reports to the Clinical Team Leader and is based in the Waiariki region; remote work is not suitable.
