We are the first major supermarket in the U.S. to document that all seafood products are sustainably harvested.PRIMARY PURPOSE Perform duties that ensure the department's appearance, quality, variety, safety, and food safety are maintained at a high standard. Support Hannaford's strategy, build customer relations, and provide enthusiastic customer service. QUALIFICATIONS Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team environment. Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements. Must meet minimum age requirements. Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 lb. most of the time; occasionally lift 75 lb. Reach to shoulder level or above while lifting 30 lbs.Stand and walk continuously. Meet activity standards for the department. Bend, reach, grasp, and lift produce items at or above waist level frequently. Use hands to feel objects and tools for opening boxes, preparing, and cleaning produce. Handle substances related to cleaning, packaging, and food products.Work in cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS Greet and assist customers in locating and selecting products. Perform stocking, culling, and rotation following guidelines. Prepare products (trim, crisp, package, etc.) according to standards. Perform cleaning functions per policy.Maintain high product quality standards. Achieve productivity standards as per management planning. Develop product knowledge across the department. Assist in training other associates and perform other duties as assigned.Must meet physical requirements, with or without accommodations. Salary range: $15.00 - $19.65 per hour.
