About the Role This clinical leadership position spans the adult mental health services for Whangarei and Kaipara, covering the continuing care continuum.The Clinical Head of Department will collaborate with the Service Manager to lead teams across General Adult Community, Te Roopu Whitiora, Intensive Care, Dual Disability, and Kaipara Community Team. This role offers an opportunity to influence service development during a period of innovation, working closely with the General Manager and Clinical Director to deliver high-quality, community-focused mental health care.The ideal candidate will be committed to improving mental health outcomes, especially for Māori, with an emphasis on addressing inequities. Engagement in clinical governance, quality improvement, service co-design, and outcome measurement is essential. We offer a supportive team environment, a robust clinical governance framework, and opportunities for leadership development.This position is anticipated to be 0.2FTE as an addition to an existing clinical role within the service teams.
