About our Service Te Tai Tokerau Psychiatry is part of the Northern Region Psychiatry Training Programme. Psychiatry Registrars receive excellent consultant support, regular local teaching, and participation in the Northern Region training scheme.Our programme has successfully trained Registrars to gain Fellowship of the RANZCP. The Te Tai Tokerau psychiatry programme includes rotations in acute inpatient psychiatry, community adult psychiatry, Māori mental health, rural psychiatry, child and youth mental health, liaison psychiatry, and psychiatry for older adults.About the Location Whangārei is Northland's largest hospital, providing secondary care services supported by four regional hospitals.
