Builder/Hard Landscaper, Whangarei

We are seeking an experienced Landscape Builder / hard landscaper, with building, paving, and concreting experience, to assist in creating beautiful commercial and residential yards in the Whangarei area. As a landscape builder, your main responsibility is to ensure that your work quality is of the high standard that our clients demand. This includes sharing your expertise and being a team player. You’ll also be involved in site set-out, planting, construction of outdoor timber structures, formwork, paving, lawn care, and more, as this is a team-based role.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Landscape Construction– reading construction plans, installing hardscapes and/or softscapes to our clients' specifications. Quality – ensuring your work is of the highest standard, thorough, and pride-worthy. You will learn from your Project Manager, Site Supervisor, or Site Manager as needed.Health&Safety– maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues. Teamwork – actively participating as a team member, encouraging high standards, and maintaining good relationships with clients with support from team leaders and managers. If you enjoy spending your days outdoors and engaging in practical work, this is the job for you!About You: Passionate about landscaping with a strong work ethic and enjoyment of being on the tools. Team player, eager to learn, with extensive paving experience using mortar and sand base materials. Ability to work accurately to drawing/building levels and collaborate effectively with site teams to meet deadlines.Experience in the correct use of power tools, including heavy machinery, with a focus on project completion and client satisfaction. Enjoy sharing knowledge and communicating well with your team. Requirements: 5+ years' experience in Landscaping, Construction, or similar. Good fitness and communication skills for active lifting and movement.Willingness to learn and grow professionally. Full Class 1 driver’s license. Advantages (not essential): Carpentry and concreting experience. Horticulture Qualification Level 4. First Aid&Site Safe certifications. Ability to operate manual vehicles and digging machinery.
