To make this happen, we need a motivated Cook who is passionate about food and excellent service.To be successful in this role, you need to be able to multitask, have a friendly disposition, and show good communication skills to interact with care staff and residents. Reliability is a key attribute. We require experience in a rest home or lifestyle village environment. You will be involved in all aspects of food preparation and service, along with a commitment to maintaining our food safety programme.Reporting to the Site Manager, the Cook position requires a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience. Responsibilities include: Preparing, cooking, and serving wholesome food in an aged-care setting, including morning and afternoon teas and lunches. Designing and implementing patient and staff menus, including accommodating special dietary requirements.Monitoring the quality of food at all stages of preparation and presentation. Maintaining a clean, tidy, safe, and hazard-free environment. Working independently at a high level without supervision. Other conditions for this role: Police vetting is required for this role.
