Becoming an Animal Management Officer is a unique and challenging role that requires a combination of skills, education, and personal attributes. Responding to service requests and complaints in line with legislative and bylaw requirements Investigating complaints and preparing written reports Undertake compliance/ enforcement actions including, impounding dogs, property inspections, infringements Handling dogs and livestockEducating the public on responsible pet ownership and animal safety Why Join Armourguard? Previous experience liaising with SPCA, NZ Police, DOC, community groups, and local Iwi Mandatory Requirements: Applicants must be able to satisfy the following pre-employment checks including:Driver’s License, Credit, Ministry of Justice Criminal History, and Immigration checks. Must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
